Robin Hood was produced at the Éclair Studios in Fort Lee, and is an epic inspired by the once-popular Reginald de Koven operetta. Robin and his Merry Men set out to rescue Maid Marian and cross swords with the Sheriff of Nottingham. This film displays a technique where towards the end of the film, the protagonists’ images fade into images of animals, representing the characters, whether virtuous or villainous.
