The Artist is the first of three films to be screened by the Cornelius Low House as part of the project Lights! Camera! Action! History of Film 1980-1960 in New Jersey. An homage to the silent film era and a love letter to this art form, The Artist won five Academy Awards including “Best Picture.” Crafted by Cinematographer Guillaume Schiffman, the film brings to American Jean Dujardin as silent movie actor George Valentin and Bérénice Bejo playing Poppy Miller.
