It was only a few months ago that HBR, LLC appeared before the Woodbridge Township Zoning Board of Adjustment seeking to shoehorn 29 apartment units into six lots.
When the Board indicated in was not in favor of the application, HBR, LLC wisely withdrew it. In doing so, they also indicated they would be back. Well, according to the legal notice in today's Home News Tribune, they are back. This time they are seeking permiision for 20 units. Wow, how considerate of them.
Apparently, it matters not that HBR, LLC's project, if approved by the Board, will still deminish home values in the area, increase traffic and potential add to the school district's educational burden. The latter statement become even more paramount when one looks at the taxes HBR, LLC is paying for other properties they have developed and are now renting. Taxpaying home owners in those areas should have it so good! Don't believe me, go to town hall and look up their tax assessments and payments. I did.
So who is HBR, LLC and who, if anyone, in Woodbridge politics and power brokering is behind them?
Be that as it may, if you are opposed to more apartments coming to Avenel, be at the August 7, 2014 Zoning Board meeting at town hall, in the Counsel Chambers to speak you piece. You can bet the 'powers that be' will have their cadre there in support of their agenda!
