Life Lessons on and off the Court

Rutgers University women's basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer shared her story at Rutgers Cancer Institute's annual Survivors Day event.

New Brunswick, N.J. - June 15, 2017 - More than 250 guests attended Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey’s annual Cancer Survivors Day Celebration at the Hyatt New Brunswick earlier this week. Rutgers women’s basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer served as this year’s keynote speaker and shared with the audience her life experiences including a bout with breast cancer and personal triumphs and adversities that have inspired her to rise above. Cancer survivors reunited with friends and caregivers, including Rutgers Cancer Institute doctors, nurses and social workers.
