Man Shot, Killed In New Brunswick Sunday

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A fatal shooting occurred in New Brunswick Sunday morning, according to police and the county prosecutor.

At 1:50 a.m. Sunday, authorities responded to Fernwood Court following the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located Cedric Paige, 37, of New Brunswick who sustained multiple apparent gunshot wounds. Paige was transported from the scene to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

At present, the shooting does not appear to be a random act. The investigation is active and continuing.
