Manhunt After Several Attacked By Paintballers At Rutgers

Two possible male suspects were in a car and face aggravated assault charges, police said.

A manhunt is underway for two possible suspects after several people at Rutgers University were hit with paintballs on Monday, police said.

The New Brunswick Police Department is investigating what it's describing as an "aggravated assault" that happened at approximately 6 p.m. on Bristol Street, between Guilden and Delafield streets, in New Brunswick.

In this incident, the victims, who are affiliated with Rutgers University, reported that they were hit with paintballs which they believed came from a vehicle idling in the area, police said.

None of the victims reported injuries or sought medical attention at the time of the incident, police said.

Descriptions of the suspects are limited at this time, police said. A dark colored sedan with tinted windows was described by victims as being seen in the area at the time of the incident, possibly occupied by two males.
