Middlesex County Offers Additional Flu Shots Feb. 5

It's not too late: Middlesex County is offering $15 flu shots in Edison, New Brunswick and East Brunswick on Feb. 5 from 2 to 6 p.m.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Due to the increased influenza activity across the nation, the Middlesex County Office of Health Series will be conducting flu clinics in three different locations on Feb. 5 from 2 to 6 p.m.

Cost of the vaccine is $15, which will be accepted in cash only. Exact change is strongly recommended and no bill larger than $20 will be accepted. Residents who present a valid Medicare card will not be charged, and their Medicare will be billed.

Habits that help reduce the spread of flu include:

• Stay home when you are sick.

• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

• Clean your hands often. (Keep alcohol-based hand sanitizers in your purse, car, and backpack, when soap and water is not available.)

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth as much as possible.

• Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, and then throw away your
used tissue.

• Get regular exercise, enough rest, and eat healthy, balanced meals.
