NBPA Announces Expansion of CarShare Program

New Brunswick, N.J. January 30 2017 – The New Brunswick Parking Authority (NBPA) is pleased to announce the expansion of Enterprise CarShare, a car-sharing service from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, to drivers in the City of New Brunswick.

This program is a membership-based, automated car rental program that offers rates by hour, day, overnight and weekends. Vehicles are available for rent 24 hours a day, seven days a week at two new locations – the corner of College Avenue and Bartlett Street and the corner of College Avenue and Stone Street.

Cars are also available at three additional locations – 95 Paterson Street, 17 Easton Avenue and 205 Easton Avenue.

The New Brunswick Parking Authority understands the transportation needs of city residents. Residents who own vehicles in the City of New Brunswick like many in other urban centers face the challenge of decreasing inventory of on street parking. Enterprise CarShare will provide residents with an option to the convenient use of a rental vehicle at various locations throughout the City. Fewer vehicles on the street result in more available spaces for other residents and patrons supporting local business.

In celebration of this new availability, Enterprise CarShare has waived the application and first- year membership fees for new members. Effective immediately, members can join for $10 and receive $6 hourly driving rates.

All New Brunswick residents with a valid driver’s license can join at www.EnterpriseCarShare.com/joinnb. Members can then download the easy-to-use Enterprise CarShare app, available on iPhone and Android devices, to find vehicles nearby and make a reservation.
