New Brunswick Appoints New Water Utility Director
Mark Lavenberg, appointed as New Brunswick Water Utility director, has more than 26 years of experience and has won awards for excellence.

The New Brunswick Water Utility has a new director.
Mark Lavenberg, 52, will begin his new job in the city next week.
He was appointed by Mayor Jim Cahill, and the city council on Wednesday voted unanimously to accept that appointment, according to City Spokeswoman Jennifer Bradshaw.

According to a news release from the city:
Lavenberg “has more than 26 years of experience in water treatment and distribution and wastewater management.”

He has previously held management roles in Bridgeton, Palmyra, Moorestown, Wrightstown, Pemberton and Mount Holly.
He also worked as the Water and Wastewater Operations Manager for the Bayside State Prison in Leesburg for five years.
In 1996 and 2000, he won the US EPA’s Operations and Maintenance Excellence Award.
He will earn $107,000 a year.
