Oasis Church Celebrating Racial Unity With Service, Concert and Picnic
In response to the recent shootings in Dallas and Baton Rouge, and the rising racial tensions in our communities, Oasis Church, a central NJ contemporary church, warmly invites the surrounding community Sunday. July 24 at 11am to its “Takin’ IT to the PARK” Big Top Tent Church Service and free Picnic Party Concert in the Parkside Grove in Cedar Brook Park in Plainfield . For more information and directions call 732-406-7821, or go to the website at www.Oasis-Church-NJ.com
According to Dave Butler, lead pastor of the church, “while the media and other unhealthy elements in our society are doing all they can to flame up racial tensions and division, our multi-cultural church is in a unique position to make a statement about racial unity and togetherness. We don't deny our differences, we celebrate them. We don't deny oppression and racism exists, but speak out against it. We don't belittle the pain or sweep the anger some of us are feeling at this time under a rug, but we suffer together, knowing that through faith in God, we can and will get through this mess together!”

“The healing of our societal violence and division won’t come from politicians, but from diverse churches standing up together, and letting communities know there is a better alternative .Our church coming to Plainfield and inviting all people is one small, practical way to show love.”
“This is a free and open event for people from every religious or ethnic background. Come with family and friends and enjoy our outdoor church service, music from our three bands, free food and a chance to mingle and meet new friends. There will be a big top tent for shade and weather concerns. There’s also a great huge playground area for the kids, with a bouncy bounce.
