New Brunswick Coffee Shop Donating All Profits To Houston Flooding Victims
Go buy a cup of coffee at Hidden Grounds on Easton Avenue! From Sept. 6-Sept. 13, all proceeds will go to Hurricane Harvey victims.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A New Brunswick coffee shop announced they are giving all their profits for the next eight days to Hurricane Harvey victims in Texas.
That's right. One hundred percent of the proceeds from sales at The Hidden Grounds Coffee between Sept. 6-Sept. 13 will go to Harvey victims. The coffee shop has two locations on Easton Avenue in New Brunswick (106 Easton Ave./4C Easton Ave.) and is popular among New Brunswick locals. They also plan to open a third new location in Jersey City, at 148 First Street.
"We are going to be donating all of the profits we make between September 6th through September 13th. As a company, we feel so compelled to help out the victims of the devastating Hurricane Harvey that struck in the heart of Houston," writes co-owner Anand Patel. "From our research and personal experience, we are finding out that now is the time families need money the most since FEMA has not released or even inspected the properties for damages."

"Unfortunately, for a lot of these families, there is no other option but to pay for all of the work themselves since they want to stop the mold from growing. All in all, it's a dire situation in Houston right now and unfortunately, it's not getting as much publicity as it needs! We've decided to donate 100% of our profits to the families directly affected by this Hurricane. No, we won't be donating it to any non-profit organization but directly giving it to families who need this really badly. We will also posts a receipt of all the contributions we've made and even share their stores during this week on our Facebook. If you are a restaurant and want to participate with us, please contact us at thehiddengrounds@gmail.com."
Hidden Grounds set up this GoFundMe page to also help raise extra money for Houston families.
