New Brunswick Issues Code Blue, Opens Shelter
New Brunswick declares a 'Code Blue' when temperatures of 20 degrees or below create a danger for those without shelter.

New Brunswick, NJ - With the drop in temperatures, the city of New Brunswick has issued a ”Code Blue” and opened an emergency warming shelter Monday.
The Code Blue is in effect in New Brunswick through the morning of Wednesday, January 6. Residents without adequate shelter from the cold may go to the Elijah’s Promise Soup kitchen, located at 18 Neilson Street, police said. The shelter will remain open between the hours of 7 p.m. Monday through 7 a.m. Wednesday morning.
