New Brunswick police are searching for four people who assaulted and robbed the victim on the New Brunswick Train Station platform.

New Brunswick police are searching for robbers who stole items from a man as he stood on the platform of the New Brunswick train station on Albany Street, authorities said.

The victim told police he was on the platform when three males and a female approached him around 2:45 a.m. Saturday, according to an alert from Rutgers police.

They assaulted him and “removed items of value from his possession,’’ according to the alert, which said the victim was not affiliated with Rutgers.

They fled, and the victim was treated at a local hospital for his injuries.

Descriptions of the robbers are limited, police said.
