NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – DECEMBER 17, 2016-
New Brunswick Recreation Department and Venturing, BSA are partnering to host a teenage soccer tournament and pizza party for teens from New Brunswick and the surrounding areas on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. Students are asked to meet at the HUB Teen Center (411 Joyce Kilmer Ave., New Brunswick, NJ 08901). The event will conclude with a free pizza party. Although the event is free of charge, students are asked to register prior to December 26 at: http://tinyurl.com/ztbhqf7.
The program, open to all students ages 13-20, will begin with registration starting at 8:30 am. The first tournament game kicks off at 9:00 am. A minimum of 3-5 members per team must register. Each team will play one 30-minute semifinal playoff game. The winner of each of the semifinal games will play the in the final game. All participants must sign an electronic copy of the “Release of Liability” form and Venturing, BSA registration form.

The event is free to attend and participate. The winning team will be awarded prizes during lunch.
Those who attend will learn what Venturing is all about including the leadership experiences, high adventure trips, community service efforts, and more.

Venturing is a coed program for all youth ages 13-20, featuring social activities, community service, camping and outdoor activities, team building, and leadership training.
All youth 13-20, including active Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts are invited to attend. Scouts who belong to a troop can also join a Venturing crew at the same time, and it won't interfere with their troop activities.
