• Rutgers Cancer Institute Showcases Research Shaping the Future of Cancer Care (oncodaily.com) — A major cancer research event is coming to 195 Little Albany Street in New Brunswick this October, offering residents a chance to hear directly from Rutgers Cancer Institute doctors about advances in gastric cancer detection and childhood cancer treatment. Attendees can also tour a cutting-edge lab that supports immunotherapy and personalized medicine, getting a rare behind-the-scenes look at tools shaping future cancer care.
   

• New support helps strengthen American Red Cross disaster preparedness and response (redcross.org) — New Brunswick gets a national spotlight as the Johnson & Johnson Foundation, headquartered here, pledges $250,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Responder Program. The gift, announced in New Brunswick, will help the Red Cross prepare for and respond to disasters nationwide, from home fires to major storms, while also supporting blood donations and volunteer training.
