PISCATAWAY, NJ — Piscataway High School was placed on lockdown Friday morning after a person at the school claimed to have a gun, said Piscataway schools superintendent Dr. Frank Ranelli.
The school was placed on lockdown from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and the person who made the claim "was immediately secured by the building administration and security," said Ranelli.
No students were at risk at any time, he said. It remains unknown if it was a student who made the gun claim. If it was, their name would not be released as he or she is a minor.
