Renowned TV News Anchor to Address FIDF New Jersey Supporters

The event will take place in North Brunswick

Renowned TV journalist Tal Heinrich will address supporters of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) New Jersey Chapter at Congregation B’nai Tikvah this February 9. The event will support FIDF’s well-being and educational programs for Israel’s soldiers.

Heinrich is an anchor for i24NEWS, an international TV news channel based in Tel Aviv, Paris, New York and Washington. She co-anchors the channel’s main US broadcast, “Crossroads” at 6 p.m. ET. Tal was also the host of an acclaimed TV magazine show, “Holy Land Uncovered,” and served as an i24NEWS correspondent covering the UN.

She also worked as a CNN International producer based in Jerusalem and helped cover the 2014 Operation Defensive Shield in the Gaza Strip, the 2015 re-election of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the 2015 terror wave known as the “Knife Intifada.”

Heinrich is a familiar face in Israeli media. Before joining i24NEWS, she hosted major news shows on Israel’s Channel 20 and Walla News. For over a decade, she was a leading female broadcaster on Israel's premier sports channel. She is fluent in Hebrew, English, German, and Arabic and holds a B.A in Arabic literature and general history, and an M.A in contemporary Middle East Studies.

Two Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers will also participate in the event, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the synagogue, 1001 Finnegans Lane. Tickets are $40, though Holocaust survivors and Lone Soldiers – those who enlist in the IDF with no immediate family in Israel – may attend free of charge, as long as they register for the event. Anyone who is interested in attending this event must register due to security reasons.
