Rutgers Hosts Public Talk on Changes to the Affordable Care Act

This Thursday, the public is invited to a panel discussion in downtown New Brunswick organized by Rutgers about proposed changes to the ACA.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - This Thursday, March 9 the public is invited to a panel discussion in downtown New Brunswick organized by Rutgers about proposed changes to the Affordable Care Act.

What: A panel of leading national experts will offer in-depth discussion of the status of efforts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, including avenues to advance or oppose changes to the ACA through executive action, legislation and the courts; how proposed replacement options could impact health insurance market stability, affordability and coverage; and what roles states may play in future health reforms. The event is hosted by Rutgers Center for State Health Policy.

Who: Panelists include Sara Rosenbaum, Harold and Jane Hirsh professor of health law and policy, George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services;Heather Howard, lecturer in public affairs and director, Advancing Coverage in States and State Health and Value Strategies, Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University, and former New Jersey Commissioner of Health; Mark Pauly, Bendheim professor of health care management and professor of business economics and public policy, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; Michael K. Gusmano, associate professor, Department of Health Systems & Policy, Rutgers School of Public Health. The panel will be moderated by Joel Cantor, a distinguished professor of public policy and the founding director of Rutgers’ Center for State Health Policy.
