Rutgers Writers' Conference

The Rutgers Writers' conference is a two day conference, June 3rd and 4th of 2017, that will allow you to move beyond the mechanics to find your unique voice, learn how to position yourself for success, hear from agents, editors, and publishers about how to publish your work. Compare notes with other writers, and form professional networks that will guide and sustain you in your craft.

Be inspired, find your voice, weigh publishing options, market your work, network, and get a great value for a keynote, workshops, lunch and lunch activities, reading event, parking, and snacks.

The keynote speaker will be award winning novelist and screenwriter, Dennis Lehane, whose books have been turned into movies starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Ben Affleck. He is also the writer-producer of HBO's Boardwalk Empire and The Wire.
To kick off the conference we are holding a pre-conference concert starring legendary singer/songwriter Janis Ian who was nominated for 10 Grammy Awards and will be coming out of retirement. The concert is not included in the conference fee.
