Saint Peter’s University Hospital Receives Beacon Award

Adult ICU Honored for Fifth Consecutive Year

Saint Peter’s University Hospital has been awarded its fifth consecutive Beacon Award from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN). Saint Peter’s University Hospital is only one of ten units nationwide to have received the award five times in a row. The award recognizes unit caregivers who successfully improve patient outcomes and align practices with AACN’s six Healthy Work Environment Standards. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Saint Peter’s University Hospital is a 26-bed fully monitored unit staffed by 80 registered nurses and three advanced practice nurses who ensure the highest level of patient care. For additional details related to scoring, visit the Beacon Award Handbook (https://www.aacn.org/~/media/aacn-website/nursing-excellence/beacon-awards/beaconhandbook.pdf).
