Sall Myers Medical Associates Now Accepting Patients Without Referrals
The accident care clinics provide bilingual services at locations in New Brunswick, Paterson, Irvington, Plainfield, Union City and Hackensack.

Sall Myers Medical Associates, the accident care center with seven bilingual clinics across New Jersey, has received nearly 100 percent of their business from referral by emergency rooms, primary care physicians or lawyers for the past 50 years.
But with the rapid changes in health care reform and long waits between specialist appointments, the Board Certified group of physicians - covering every specialty from orthopedic to neurology to psychiatry - is now inviting patients to come direct. This is especially important for car accident victims who believe they are "okay" but days later are hit with aches and pains from a rear-ender or begin having side effects after initial treatment from a sudden stop, they can now be treated without referral at Sall Myers.
"We are empowering people to take charge of their own healthcare by coming directly to us," says David M. Myers, M.D., Medical Director for Sall Myers. "For so long, people would walk around in pain for days, even weeks, between appointments because they were following a potential lawsuit blueprint or hoping time would open up for another specialist. At Sall Myers, no one waits."
An expert in injuries caused by texting and driving, Dr. Myers also says that aggressive driving or road rage continues to be the cause of many accidents. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), aggressive driving is defined as “when individuals commit a combination of moving traffic offenses so as to endanger other persons or property.” Whether running late for work, in a rush to get to a specific location, or trying to respond to an emergency, nothing is worse than another driver impeding your progress.
In these situations, it is easy to get hotheaded, slam on your horn and speed past the slower drivers. However, aggressive driving is not only dangerous for the people around you, but also puts yourself and your passengers at danger for potential automobile accident injuries.

"People in cars want to ensure they are as safe as possible whenever on the road," says Dr. Myers. "Remind your employees to put their pride aside when dealing with someone who is overly aggressive. Drivers should make every attempt to get out of the way, do not challenge them by speeding up and ignore gestures or eye contact."
However, if aggressive driving or another vehicle problem causes company employees or people you know to have car accident injuries, remind them of total urgent care centers for one-stop treatment. Some injuries may not appear until days or weeks later and Sall Myers is set up to prepare the patient or treat them when they return.
