Special Needs Teens & Young Adults Given Royal Treatment in Middlesex County by Liquid Church & Tim Tebow Foundation
Liquid Church New Brunswick partners with Tim Tebow Foundation to provide Special Needs Prom at the Sheraton Edison
One of New Jersey’s fastest growing Christian churches, Liquid Church, has been selected to host Night to Shine sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation at the Sheraton Edison in Middlesex County. The event is set to be an unforgettable prom night experience designed especially for teens and adults with special needs. Liquid Church of NJ will host five separate Night to Shine proms simultaneously across the state on Friday, February 12, 2016.
500 Special Needs Guests will receive the VIP treatment, with a red carpet prom entrance and friendly paparazzi snapping their photo. Once inside, guests will visit stations for hair and makeup, shoe shining, corsages and boutonnieres, and then move onto the main event – dancing! The highlight of the evening will be the crowning ceremony, where each Night to Shine guest is crowned a prom king or queen.
“It’s truly our privilege and passion to serve families with special needs. We want to show them the love of Jesus and put those who are often last, first. Hosting Night to Shine is an incredible way to do that,” said Tim Lucas, lead pastor and founder of Liquid Church. “Last year we partnered with the Tim Tebow Foundation to host one prom, and the response was incredible. So, we’ve stretched ourselves to host five proms this year in order to accommodate even more New Jersey families with special needs.”

Liquid Church is hosting the five proms in Essex, Middlesex, Morris, Somerset, and Union Counties on February 12th. One-thousand Liquid Church volunteers will be on hand to create this special event, including 500 “buddies” volunteers, who will serve as personal hosts for each and every prom guest.
Worldwide, 44 Night to Shine host churches honored more than 7,000 kings and queens of the prom in 2015. This year, it’s expected that more than 20,000 people with special needs will be attending the prom all at one time around the world.

“We are honored to be able to work with so many churches across the county and around the world to impact the lives of people with special needs,” said Erik Dellenback, executive director of the Tim Tebow Foundation. “After such an amazing response to the inaugural event held in 44 locations last year, our prayer is that this event will one day change the face of Valentine’s Day weekend from simply a celebration of love, to a celebration of God’s love for people with special needs.”
Guest registration is required to attend Night to Shine at Liquid Church, and all are welcome. Details and registration forms may be found online at http://www.liquidchurch.com/night-to-shine/.
