NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - A swastika was found recently on the Rutgers New Brunswick campus, a university spokesman confirmed to Patch.
The swastika was found last Thursday, Feb. 2 in Clothier Hall, university spokesman Jeff Tolvin confirmed. It was found drawn on a dry erase board in the first-floor study lounge and students who live in the dorm were informed Friday, Feb. 3. The Rutgers University Police Department and the Bias Incident Response Team are investigating.
Last week, swastikas with Trump's name next to them and the words “Muslims matter" popped up on fences and street signs in Atlantic Highlands and Middletown. Police have not made any arrests. Read that story: Swastikas, Anti-Trump Tags Found in Atlantic Highlands and Middletown

While the two do not appear to be related, this most recent swastika at Rutgers recalls another incident at Rutgers last February: A female Jewish Rutgers student fighting with her roommates came home to her dorm room one day to find a giant swastika taped outside her bedroom door. At the time, Sara Rosen said Rutgers University officials dismissed her complaints about it as “a joke gone bad.’” Rutgers said RUPD extensively investigated the incident and forwarded it to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. However, there was not enough probable cause to bring bias crime charges. Read that story here:
