Au Pairs participate in The Youth Uplift Challenge
Au Pairs participate in The Youth Uplift Challenge
During the past couple months My team called " Anetta's 500 hands" participated in the The Youth Uplift Challenge. With the help of Cultural Card Au Pairs (special thanks to Julie Sudikova), Teachers (special thanks to Ms.Haenlein) and kids from The Berkley Street Elementary School in New Milford NJ, my neighbors (Nevin, Eva) friends (Maggie) and family we made 550 hands.
For every hand we made and sent in during the Youth Uplift Challenge, the Bezos Family Foundation would donate $1.90 to Save the Children’s programs empowering youth in Nicaragua and Indonesia to help those living in poverty around the word and in local communities.
" Hands carry powerful and elegant symbolism that aligns closely with the intent of this Challenge—to support and uplift youth to overcome the obstacles they face as a result of poverty. Hands are how we lift each other up, how we connect, how we work, how we give, and how we receive. Hands represent our unique identity and the unique contribution we all have to give to address the Challenges that poverty presents. "
