Bear Roamed Through New Milford Neighborhood Saturday Morning
Breaking: Officers found the bear in an East Woodland Road yard.
NEW MILFORD, NJ — A bear cub paid a visit to a borough neighborhood early Saturday morning.
Police responded to a Congress Street home at 6:11 a.m. on a report of a bear roaming through yards, police said.
Officers found the bear in an East Woodland Road yard, a block away from where it was first spotted.

Personnel from Tyco Animal Control and the state Division of Fish and Wildlife were called to the scene.
State personnel tranquilized the bear and moved it to state-owned land in Morris County, police said.
