Bergen County Man Dies While Tubing In Outer Banks
BREAKING: Zandro Samonte of Bergenfield disappeared after he fell off an inner tube in North Carolina, according to a report.
A Bergen County man died after he went missing Saturday following a inner tubing accident in North Carolina, according to reports.
The body of Zandro Samonte, 45, of Bergenfield, was pulled from the Currituck Sound Sunday after he went missing Saturday, WTKR.com reported.
Samonte was being pulled by a pontoon boat in the Currituck Sound near the town of Duck at about 1 p.m. when he went missing, the report said.

The Coast Guard said Samonte was not wearing a life jacket when he disappeared, Outerbanksvoice.com reported.
A post by Boni Macalalag to the Lumban Association on Facebook regarding Samonte's death Sunday stated that the organization would miss Samonte's "unwavering support and unselfish dedication" to the group.
