Body Pulled From The Passaic River Near New Milford: Police

4 men who were fishing in the river reportedly found the body, according to a report.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A man's body was pulled from the Passaic River in Elmwood Park Friday night, police said in a report.

Elmwood Park Police responded to a report from four men who were fishing in the river near Linwood Avenue who showed police a body floating face down near the river's bank, according to a NorthJersey.com report.

The Bergen County Sheriff's Department BCI Unit found the body was a man, possibly in his 20s, the Elmwood Park Police said in the report.

Authorities sent the body to the Bergen County Medical Examiner's Office for investigation and identification.
