NEW MILFORD, NJ — Two Solomon Schechter Day School students will be honored Wednesday for a documentary they created for a national contest sponsored by C-SPAN.
Seventh-graders Ilan Barnea and Sam Modlinger created the documentary "Terrorism: Civil Liberties and Security In A Changing World," for StudentCam, the public affairs television station's annual documentary competition. They received a $250 honorable mention prize for their work.
In a five to seven minute-long film, Barnea and Modlinger had to answer the question: What is the most urgent issue for the president and Congress to address in 2017? They will be honored at an assembly and their documentary will be screened.
