C-SPAN Will Honor New Milford Student Documentarians Wednesday
Students at Solomon Schechter Day School created films about what they'd most want this year's presidential candidates to discuss.

NEW MILFORD, N.J. — Six students from Solomon Schechter Day School will be honored during an assembly Wednesday morning for their prizewinning documentaries they created for the C-SPAN network's annual student video competition, StudentCam.
The students created five- to seven-minute long documentaries about what issues they would most like this year's presidential candidates to discuss during their campaigns.

- Ariel Barnea and Moshe Kruger; prize: $750 third place prize for their film "Global Warming: A Heated Debate".
- Itai Afriat, Sabre Zimmer, and Jacob McGuire; prize: $250 honorable mention for "Drones in the Air".
- Maya Fleischer, $250 honorable mention prize for "The Vaccine Debate".
C-SPAN received nearly 2,900 submissions from 8,000 students; 150 student prizes were awarded.
