
The 5th Annual Father Joseph Allen Memorial Lecture will be held at St. Anthony Orthodox Churchon Saturday, October 3, featuring Fr. Michael Nasser, Director of Spiritual Formation at St Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary. Fr. Michael will speak about the Changes and Challenges in Pastoral Care Today.
Fr. Michael Nasser’s previous ministry included a wide range of roles over the decades, where he has honed his pastoral ministry. He was Camp Director at the Antiochian Village, where he also oversaw the establishment of camps throughout the Antiochian Archdiocese and worked with leaders across all Orthodox jurisdictions to re-establish the Orthodox Christian Fellowship. He was a mission priest in Tijuana, Mexico and Bowling Green Kentucky, and a parish priest in New Kensington, PA and Grand Rapids, MI. Fr. The evening will begin with Vespers at 5pm; an hors d’oeuvres reception at 6pm and the lecture at 6:45. Coffee and dessert will follow. The suggested donation is $20.
The Father Joseph Allen Memorial Fund honors St. Anthony’s beloved pastor of 53 years who departed this life in 2020, and supports projects that reflect Fr. Joseph’s ministry as a pastor and educator and inspire Orthodox Christians and those interested in learning more about Orthodoxy.
