Cultural Care Au Pairs volunteer at the Woodcrest Health Care Center in New Milford NJ

After Some of the Au Pairs approached me and told me that they were eager to go and volunteer at the Senior Citizens Center, I arranged the visit. On Sunday February 7th the Cultural Care Au Pairs and I, their Local Childcare Consultant, volunteered at the Woodcrest Health Care Center in New Milford.

Over 20 Girls visited the center. Not only the Au Pairs from my group that I support in New Milford, Cresskilll, Tenafly, Teaneck, Closter, Englewood Cliffs, Paramus, Fair Lawn and Hackensack attended, but also couple other Au Pairs from another LCC’s group.We spent an excellent time talking to senior citizens, we painted their nails and played Bingo.

One of the girls Milena, an amazing Au Pair from Switzerland who specializes in baking, brought some amazing home made “Pain au chocolate,” which is a French pastry (Puff pastry and dark chocolate inside). Another Au Pair from France Alexie brought delicious home made cake.

Senior Citizens enjoyed our visit and at the end they asked us to come back, which we will surely do in the near future.

After the visit we all received very nice email from Mrs Patel, the Recreation Director stating:
“The residents loved the visit, you are all welcome to come anytime. Thank you for thinking of us.”
