Death At Bergen High School Not Suspicious: Police

David Zatta, 59, was found unresponsive inside Bergenfield High School Tuesday morning, police said.

The body of a custodian at Bergenfield High School was found dead inside a second floor room at Bergenfield High School Tuesday morning but his death is not suspicious, police said.

Police were dispatched to the school at 7:08 a.m. on a report of an "unresponsive and unconscious" man, said Capt. Mustafa Rabboh.

Police found David Zatta, 59, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene at 7:30 a.m., Rabboh said.

Zatta was a custodian at the school and worked the overnight shift, Rabboh said. Police do not believe Zatta's death is suspicious.

Bergenfield and Dumont police notified Zatta's family of the incident.

"Our deepest condolences go to Mr. Zatta’s family, friends, and the Bergenfield High School staff," Rabboh said.
