The 8th Annual Bergenfield Film Festival celebrates independent and mainstream cinema, and offers a juried selection of feature and short films from national and international film makers. Included in the festival is "SLAVERY by Another Name," which has been screened at the Sundance Film Festival and appeared on PBS. It is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book by Douglas A. Blackmon. A total of 16 films will be presented, from drama to horror to comedy, including four short films highlighting New Jersey's contributions to the film industry. Full-length films at the festival are "Green Eyes," "The Shadow of Death," and "Nirvana."
