Free Technology Workshops!

Free technology workshops on Saturdays at the New Milford Public Library. Topics include Microsoft Office, Internet, and Apple fundamentals.

Lydia Chen, a local New Milford resident and Girl Scout, will once again be holding technology workshops on weekends at the New Milford Public Library. Two years ago she held a similar series of lessons for community residents as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award project, Teens Teaching Technology. This summer she is delighted to continue the initiative against computer illiteracy with another free summer series of workshops dedicated to teaching useful skills and tricks for fundamental computer software and programs.

Workshops will be held on Saturdays from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm in the conference room of the New Milford Public Library (200 Dahlia Drive). All participants will learn from demonstrations, educational projects, individual instruction, and will also receive an informational handout. Topics include Microsoft Word (July 23), Microsoft PowerPoint (July 30), Microsoft Excel (August 6), and Internet and Apple devices (August 13). Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own laptops or devices. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

To register, please sign up in person at the library desk or call Lydia at (201)-956-1467. Hope to see you there!
