LOCAL AU PAIR NOMINATED FOR INTERNATIONAL AU PAIR OF THE YEAR AWARD

AUSTRALIAN AU PAIR RECOGNIZED FOR HER OUTSTANDING COMMITMENT TO CRESSKILL FAMILY

New Milford , NJ – 01.20.2017- Each year, the International AuPair Association (IAPA)asks families around the world who have an au pair living with them to consider nominating their au pair for the International Au Pair of the Year Award. IAPA selects the International Au Pair of the Year based on the au pair’s extraordinary impact on their host family, commitment to going above and beyond their duties, and appreciation for meaningful cultural exchange. One local family felt that their au pair fit the bill. The Polevoy of Cresskill has nominated their au pair, Chrissy Campbell from Australia for this prestigious international award. Chrissy provides live-in childcare for the Polevoy’s 2 children, and her outstanding dedication and enthusiasm in caring for them led to her nomination for International Au Pair of the Year.

Chrissy Campbell has been living with the Polevoy family since January 2016 as part of the Cultural Care Au Pair intercultural exchange and childcare program. She cares for the family’s children, ages 9 and 11 in exchange for the opportunity to live in the United States, take classes at an American college, and become part of a real American family.

"Chrissy is our 4 th au pair with your program. She is intelligent, genuine, and encompasses the most positive energy in any individual I have ever met" said S. Polevoy.
"I never have to ask her to help me do anything around the house or concerning our girls. She always thinks outside the box regarding fun and creative ways to motivate my girls or how she can make our lives easier when we get home from work. Everything she does she does with patience, ease, and love and it always seems to be effortless and peaceful. Whether it's the beautiful dinner she just made for our whole family or how she cleans up the kitchen and makes the beds in the morning, Chrissy always seems to do it with a smile on her face and with incredible attention to detail. We are so blessed and lucky to have her. I am a dentist in Manhattan and my husband also has a very stressful job managing medical offices for Allergan in the city as well. To be able to have this aspect of our lives so under control and incredibly peaceful is beyond our wildest dreams. Our girls are becoming better people because of the influence that this mature and amazing 22 year old woman has on them. We love Chrissy and can't imagine any other au pair deserving of this award especially since we have had great au pairs in the past. She is more than our au pair. She is a very big part of our family! "

IAPA established the Au Pair of the Year Award to recognize the many great young women and men participating in the au pair program, a demanding cultural exchange and childcare experience. The winner of this year’s award will be announced in February and honored at IAPA’s annual conference in March in Munich, Germany.

“Chrissy Campbell has gone above and beyond to create a healthy and enriching environment for her host children, while also challenging herself to learn a new culture. She is a great role model for her host children and other young people in the community,” said Anetta S Matias, local childcare coordinator for Cultural Care Au Pair.
