Local Police Need Help IDing Driver In Hit-And-Run Crash, Police Say
Bergenfield police are looking for the black 2013 Nissan Rogue SL they say hit a 73-year-old woman.

Bergenfield police are looking for the driver of a black SUV they say struck a borough woman and left her injured in the roadway earlier this month.
The 73-year-old Westwood woman was crossing the street at South Washington and Bedford avenues in Bergenfield Oct. 10 when a 2013 black Nissan Rogue SL made an illegal left turn onto South Washington Avenue from Bedford Avenue and struck her, said Capt. Mustafa Rabboh of the Bergenfield Police Department.
The driver immediately put the SUV in reverse and left the scene, traveling the wrong way on Bedford Avenue; the woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Pascack Valley HospitalRabboh said.

The Nissan has tinted windows and may have been damaged on the front end or on the hood, Rabboh said. Authorities could not give a description of the vehicle's driver. Police identified the vehicle with the help of the Elite Nissan dealership in Bergenfield and by reviewing video surveillance footage.
