Now Open:

  • Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft opened their doors last week. The store is located at 30 A & S Drive, next to The Sports Authority right off of Route 17 north. A grand opening is planned for next week. The store took over the space formerly occupied by Comp USA.
  • Blick Art Materials opened its first New Jersey location recently at 35 Plaza on Route 4 west. It took over the corner store that was recently the Van Heusen/G.H. Bass store and before that the Paramus Picture Show/Cinema 35 movie theatre. Blick sells everything for the everyday artist. The store also has a stationery department and offers custom framing. The store is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Wireless Depot/Verizon Wireless on Route 4 east is now open in a bigger location in the former home of Elite Diamond Center, right next to its former location.
  • Starbucks on Route 17 south is reopened and ready for business. The store recently finished renovations and has a brand new addition to the store, a drive-thru.
  • Target at The Outlets at Bergen Town Center just finished renovations of their store. Their brand new Fresh Grocery section is now open. Shoppers can now pick up meat, chicken, pork, eggs, dairy, fruit and baked goods while shopping. The store also has a larger and more extensive grocery section. The infant/toddler, shoes, mobile and the health and beauty aids departments have had makeovers. More extensive renovations were just completed at the Hackensack location.
  • Stacks Pancake House & Café held its grand opening recently. Located on Route 17 south where Pizza Hut was formerly located. Stacks features 22 kinds of pancakes and as well as waffles, French toast, omelettes and more. Breakfast is available all day long.   • Pearl Paint recently moved to a new location. It is now further down on Route 17 north between Century Road and Midland Avenue. It is located in the same center as J-R Cigar, Sherwin-Williams and the newly located Tiger Schulman’s Karate.
  • XSRE recently held its grand opening at Paramus Towne Center on Route 17 north next to Chef Central.  This super sized accessory store took over half the space of the old Circuit City. There is another location open at Palisades Center in West Nyack, N.Y.
  • GNC is now open on Route 17 north, next to Signature Leather and The Fireplace in front of The Fashion Center.
  • Tiger Schulman’s Karate recently moved from its location on Route 4 west and Forest Avenue to its new location on Route 17 north in the same shopping center with Sherwin Williams and J-R Cigar next to the Suburban Diner.
  • Branch Brook held its grand opening recently. Located on Route 4 west next to 35 Plaza in the former location of Seaman’s Furniture and Levitz Furniture. Branch Brook sells pools, pool supplies, patio furniture, pool tables and game room accessories.

Coming Soon:

  • Lord & Taylor at the Fashion Center on Route 17 north and East Ridgewood Avenue will be opening the first of two Lord & Taylor Home stores in the state. Lord & Taylor Home is set to take over the space that was the former Loehmann’s. The store is scheduled to open in August.
  • Smashburger will be opening soon in the Sprout Brook Center on Route 17 north next to Anthony Franco’s Pizza, Pearle Vision and The Vitamin Shoppe.
  • Prestige Mercedes will be opening a new state of the art dealership on Route 17 south on the site of the former Cerami Pontiac, next to Barnes & Noble.
