  • Stacks Pancake House & Café held its grand opening this week. Located on Route 17 south where Pizza Hut was located. Stacks features 22 kinds of pancakes and also features waffles, French toast, omelettes and more. Breakfast is available all day long.   • XSRE recently held its grand opening at Paramus Towne Center on Route 17 north next to .  This super sized accessory store took over half the space of the old Circuit City.
  • Karl’s Appliances designer showroom is now open on Route 17 south next to and the former Pizza Hut.
  • GNC is now open on Route 17 north, next to  and  in front of The Fashion Center.
  • Creative Playthings on Route 17 south in the former location of Boater’s World.
  • Tiger Schulman’s Karate recently moved from its location on Route 4 west and Forest Avenue to its new location on Route 17 north in the same shopping center as Sherwin Williams and J-R Cigar next to the .
  • Branch Brook held its grand opening recently. Located on Route 4 west next to 35 Plaza in the former location of Seaman’s Furniture and Levitz Furniture. Branch Brook sells pools, pool supplies, patio furniture, pool tables and game room accessories.

Closings:

Main Street Sofa Bed & Living Rooms on Route 17 south will be closing its doors soon. The entire inventory must be sold no matter the price. Everything is marked down including sofa beds, sectionals, sofas, recliners, wall art, rugs, tables, lamps and more.

Coming Soon:

  • Wireless Depot/Verizon Wireless on Route 4 east will be moving to a bigger location just next door in the former home of the recently closed Elite Diamond Center.
  • Blick Art Materials will be opening its first New Jersey location later this spring at 35 Plaza on Route 4 west. It will be taking over the corner store that was recently the Van Heusen/G.H. Bass store and before that the Paramus Picture Show/Cinema 35 movie theatre.
  • Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft will be opening a brand new location at 30 A & S Drive, next to  in July. Originally scheduled to open last Friday, the date was pushed back due to construction. The store will be taking over the space formerly occupied by Comp USA, which closed a few years ago. 
  • Prestige Mercedes will be opening a new state of the art dealership on Route 17 south on the site of the former Cerami Pontiac, next to 
  • at The Outlets at Bergen Town Center started a three-month renovation in March. The renovations are taking place in anticipation of a new Fresh Grocery section, which opens June 4. The Target in Hackensack is also renovating. If you can’t wait for the Fresh Grocery department, then head to the Target in Edgewater. They completed renovations before the holidays.
