New Bergen Library Passes Review

The planning board approved the review of the building set to be constructed in West Milford.

The West Milford Planning Board unanimously approved the plans for the construction of the new West Milford Library, according to a NorthJersey.com report.

The board will now prepare a bid package so that contractors can bid to execute construction of the building, the report states.

The project will cost about $4 million, with 25 percent covered by the township and the rest by the library organization, according to the report.

The new building will be two stories and 17,000 square feet, including a stone facing and gabled dark brown metal roof. It will also include an elevator and emergency generator, reports say.
