New Milford Caregivers To Hold Rally To Fight For $15 Hourly Wage

Employees at the Woodcrest Health Care Center in New Milford are demanding more money and the right to unionize.

Workers at the Woodcrest Health Care Center in New Milford are demanding a minimum wage of $15 an hour and the right to form a union.

Workers and Bergen County Freeholders Thomas Sullivan, Steven Tanelli, and Tracy Zur, will come together Wednesday to Woodcrest Health Center at Woodcrest to demand that CareOne pay staff at the center $15 an hour and allow them to form a union.

Caregivers at Woodcrest have gone three years without raises and some caregivers earn $11 or $12 an hour.

The rally will be held from noon to 1 p.m.
