New Milford Firefighters Battled Several Fires This Week

The department responded to several incidents, including a brush fire in New Milford, this week.

NEW MILFORD, N.J. — The fire department has battled several fires recently, both in and out of the borough.

Several units responded to the park on Warren Street for a brush fire, fire officials said.

Late Thursday night, firefighters investigated a carbon monoxide alarm while the New Milford Ambulance Corps took two people to the hospital for further evaluation.

On Wednesday, several firefighters responded to a second-alarm fire in Oradell; they were on the scene for two hours battling the blaze, officials said.

Two units were dispatched to Emerson to help cover that community due to a multi-alarm fire in Washington Township, fire personnel said.
