Bergen Mom Saves Toddler From Getting Crushed By Elevator Door: Report
Brittany Poveromo of New Milford jumped into action while waiting for her son's karate class to end, according to a report.

NEW MILFORD, NJ — A borough mother sprung into action and prevented a toddler from being crushed in an elevator door Friday.
Brittany Poveromom was waiting for her son's karate class at Sensory TKD in Bergenfield to let out when she saw a toddler running toward an elevator, according to a Daily Voice report.
The toddler stopped in the middle of the open door — then the door started to close, the report stated. Poveromo threw herself between the closing door, preventing it from closing on the child.
