New Milford Police Rewarding Kids For Good Behavior

Police will reward kids who display good behavior with a sweet treat or a gift card as part of the new P.A.C.K. program.

NEW MILFORD, NJ — A new community policing program is in place that could not only strengthen the relationship between officers and the community, but give kids a tasty reward for being nice.

The Police Appreciation Coupons for Kids program is a program where law enforcement officers will give a gift card or food or drinks from local businesses to children they see being kind, respectful, and courteous toward others. Kids can also be rewarded for wearing a helmet while riding their bike or other safety-related behavior.

The program will be going on for the next few weeks, Chief Frank Ramaci said.
