New Milford resident, Cheryll A. Calderon, Joins Brach Eichler LLC practice as Associate

Debra W. Levine has joined the health law practice of Brach Eichler LLC as counsel. She previously served as deputy attorney general in the Department of Law and Public Safety, and as assistant section chief of the Counseling Section of the Division of Consumer Affairs. In addition, Cheryll A. Calderon has joined the practice as an associate.

Levine, who had been an attorney with the State of New Jersey since 1989 when she was assigned to counsel the Board of Medical Examiners upon graduation from law school, brings an extensive background in professional licensing, state regulation and discipline in the healthcare arena to the firm. As deputy attorney general and assistant section chief she counseled the Board of Medical Examiners and several of its committees, including physician assistants, on all issues, with specific expertise in the corporate practice of medicine. She also supervised the counseling services provided to more than 50 professional licensing boards, committees and agencies under the auspices of the Division of Consumer Affairs. At Brach Eichler, Levine will focus her practice on the business aspects of the practice of medicine as well as consult on provider disciplinary matters.

Levine earned a J.D. from Rutgers Law School in Newark and a B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, from Penn State. A Springfield, NJ, resident, she has lectured for ICLE and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar.

Calderon joins Brach Eichler from Mazie Slater Katz & Freeman, L.L.C. in Roseland where she focused her practice on litigation as it relates to health care, medical devices and pharmaceutical products. Calderon earned a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and a B.A. from Rutgers University. Admitted to the New Jersey State Bar and the United States District Court of New Jersey, she also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Harriet Farber-Klein of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division. She resides in New Milford, NJ.
