New Milford Schools Plan Parent Anti-Bullying Training Thursday

NEW MILFORD, NJ — New Milford families can learn more Thursday about how local schools address bullying and related behavior.

A parent education program on harassment, intimidation and bullying will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m., according to the New Milford Public School District calendar.

The event will take place in the Media Center at David E. Owens Middle School, 470 Marion Avenue. It will move to the school café if more than 50 people register.

The district uses the abbreviation HIB for harassment, intimidation and bullying. Its HIB policy and resources page includes the district’s anti-bullying policy, state guidance for parents and an online form families and staff members can use to report an incident.
