NJPAC Seeking Talented Singers, Actors and Dancers
NJ Youth Theater is partnering with NJPAC to find performers ages 15 to 23 for an upcoming production of Kiss Me Kate

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center and the New Jersey Youth Theatre
(NJYT) have announced auditions for "strong singers who can act and dance as well as trained ballet dancers" for a production of Kiss Me, Kate.
The show, which is a collaboration between NJPAC Arts Education and NJYT, will play in NJPAC's Victoria Theater from July 15 to July 17 and July 20 to July 24. The open call auditions are for performers age 15 to 23.
Ballet-trained dancers will audition from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday,
April 9. Auditions for singer/actors will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday April 8 and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 9.

Dance callbacks will start at 6 p.m. on April 9 and final callbacks will be held by appointment on Saturday, April 16. All auditions will held in the Horizon Theater at NJPAC's Center for Arts Education in Newark.
Rehearsals will be held on weekends between May 9 and June 18. From June 20
to July 7, rehearsals will be held six days a week from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. except for "tech" week.

Those auditioning must sing a Broadway song of their choice, preferably from Kiss Me, Kate. Performers should bring their sheet music in the correct key, a photo and a resume. The show's score will be available at auditions.
Sets, props and wardrobe operations, onstage and backstage, will be in the hands of professionals assisted by young technical interns in each area. The actors, musicians and technical interns will come from across the Metro-area and
participate free of charge in this unique project.
