'Painting Affiliates' From Borough Art Center to be Featured in Library Gallery

Fair Lawn’s , 10-01 Fair Lawn Ave., will exhibit paintings by the Painting Affiliates of the Art Center of Northern New Jersey from May 8 through June 25. 

An opening reception for the artists is scheduled for Sunday, May 15, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. All are invited to the opening and to view the show during library hours: Mon-Thurs. 10 to 9; Fri. 10 to 5; Sat. 9 to 5 and Sun. 1-5. Call (201) 796-3400, ex. 0 for further information.

The Painting Affiliates of the Art Center of Northern New Jersey is an organization of 31 professional painters committed to contemporary artistic expression in a broad range of styles and techniques. They exhibit individually and as a group in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area.  Twenty of the members will be exhibiting works in the Library Gallery, including Marlene Bremer, Olivia Koopalethes, Julius Kramer, Marjorie Shaw Kubach, Bernice Leibowitz, Herrat Sommerhoff, Herb Stern, Alice Stoler and Sol Zaretsky.

The Art Center of Northern New Jersey, a fine arts school and gallery that offers
classes in all art media for adults and children, is located at 250 Center Street in
New Milford. Classes are taught by skilled professionals in oil, acrylic,
watercolor, mixed media, clay, and drawing. A full program is offered year-round.
