Three North Jersey men charged in Oakland home invasion
Accused are from Bergenfield, Garfield, and Clifton
After a two-month investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad and the Oakland Police Department under the direction of Captain Keith Sanzari, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella recently announced the arrests of Kyle Weichelt, 28, of Bergenfield; Marcos Rodriguez, 32, of Clifton; and Michael Valle, 24, of Garfield.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, during the early morning hours of March, 24, 2019, two armed suspects forced entry into a residence located on River Road in Oakland and held the victim at gun point. The suspects ransacked the residence, stealing cash and personal items from the victim. After a physical struggle with one of the suspects, the victim was able to flee and contact the police.
As a result of the investigation, Weichelt, Rodriguez, and Valle were identified as the primary suspects.

On Wednesday, May 22, 2019, detectives executed search warrants in Clifton, Garfield, and Bergenfield. The three men were arrested and remanded to the custody of the Bergen County Jail pending their first appearances in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on a date to be determined.
NOTE: Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt .
