Patch Whiz Kids of the Week: New Milford Girls Junior Soccer Teams
Accomplishment: Both the U10 team (girls age 10 and under) and the U12 team (girls age 12 and under) were 2010 NJJSL champions.
Whiz Kids' Keys to Awesomeness: The New Milford U10 girls soccer team defeated Paramus 1-0 in overtime to win the championship on Nov. 20. The girls went 9-0-1, having a great season. The New Milford U12 girls soccer team defeated Saddle Brook 2-0 on Nov. 20. to win their championship. Ten different players combined to score 54 goals while a tenacious defense pitched eight shutouts en route to a perfect 10-0 season.
