3 New Providence Property Applications Head To Zoning Board Monday

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — Three property applications are scheduled to go before the New Providence Board of Adjustment on Monday, including proposals for two additions and a fence.

The board will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Center, 360 Elkwood Avenue, according to the borough's official meeting agenda.

At 946 Springfield Avenue, applicants are seeking permission to install a 6-foot fence along Maple Street, where the borough's agenda says a 4-foot fence with 50% open space is the maximum permitted.

Another application concerns an addition at 18 Porter Place. The proposal calls for a 32-foot rear-yard setback where 47.25 feet is required and a combined side-yard setback of 31.07 feet where 35.07 feet is required.

At 56 Pearl Street, Bonasio Real Estate LLC is seeking permission for an addition. The application includes proposed front- and side-yard setbacks below borough requirements and building coverage of 1,706 square feet, compared with a maximum permitted 1,628 square feet.

Four other applications are listed under resolutions on Monday's agenda, involving properties on Hickson Drive, Midvale Drive, Commonwealth Avenue and Walton Avenue.

The agenda says no new witnesses will be heard after 10 p.m.

Residents can find upcoming meeting dates on the borough's online calendar, while current and past agendas for the Board of Adjustment and other municipal bodies are available through the Agenda Center.
